Stop Their Spread Photo Contest

The District is thrilled to celebrate New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW) by hosting the Stop Their Spread Photo Contest. Enter your best photo that shows how to stop the spread of invasive species. NYISAW is JulyPoster 10 – 16, with awesome events happening in Hamilton County and across the state.  

Eligibility Requirements

1. All ages may participate.
2. 1 entry per person.

Photo Criteria

1. Photo must show how to stop the spread of invasive species.
2. Photo must be taken in Hamilton County.
3. Themes could include: plant pulls or cuts; signage; boat decontamination; cleaning hiking boots, gear, bike tires, or pets; practicing clean, drain, dry on watercraft; forest surveys for invasive insects; lake surveys for invasive plants; don’t move firewood, planting natives, or not releasing live bait, aquarium pets or plants into the wild.

Submission Requirements

1. Entry Deadline: Friday July 29.
2. Your submission must include:
(1) Name
(2) Age
(3) Photo location in Hamilton County
(4) Mailing address or email address, and phone number
3. Digital or printed photos must be delivered, mailed, or emailed to:
