Black Cherry - Fast growing.  Dense dark green foliage.  White flowers bloom in May, followed by black cherries in August.  Leaves turn a brilliant yellow during autumn.  Extremely valuable as a timber tree.  This native species also provides food for wildlife.   Prefers rich, moist soil and grows to 60’.

Age: Following each plant name are two numbers in parentheses. These numbers represent the age of that particular plant.  EXAMPLE (2-3) means that the plant was a seedling for 2 years and then was transplanted for an additional 3 years for a total age of 5 years. (2+3=5)



American Chestnut
- Help to restore the native American Chestnut!  Even though seedlings are not blight resistant, they will mature to produce delicious nuts enjoyed by humans and wildlife in 7-10 years.  Trees may live for 40 years before the blight takes hold.  (Plant 2 seedlings within 50 yards of each other to ensure healthy nut production and pollination).

White Oak - An impressive tree with a stately, rounded form.  Dark green leaves in the summer turn showy red in the fall. Slow to moderate growth rate.  Prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil and full sun.  Grows 50 - 80', with an equal spread.
