Best Management Practices (BMPs)
BMPs are "...state-of-the-art
mitigation measures applied on a
site-specific basis to reduce,
prevent, or avoid adverse
environmental or social impacts"
(Bureau of Land
Management, 2009). When
BMPs are implemented, adverse
impacts of an environmental
project are greatly reduced.
