On 5/1/10, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is requiring that all developers, contractors and subcontractors have at least one trained individual from their company on location daily for all construction sites that disturb one or more acres. The required 4 hour certification training session will be offered at the Indian Lake Town Hall on February 23, 2010 from 8:30-12:30 (snow date February 25). The registration fee is $75 and covers training, materials, and refreshments. Registration forms are available on our website. Make checks payable to Hamilton County SWCD and mail with completed form to our office by February 19. Training will cover erosion and sediment control and stormwater management.
