Recycling Program
The HCSWCD began a paper
recycling program in April 2008
in our county courthouse offices
in Lake Pleasant. Surveys were
completed by people interested
in receiving a recycle bin, and
shredded and computer paper,
newspapers, and corrugated
cardboard are collected on a
weekly basis. A huge thank you
to our awesome maintenance staff
who helped make this program
possible and to the enthusiastic
recyclers.
In February 2009, the program
was expanded to include the
Indian Lake County Offices. In
addition to newspaper,
corrugated cardboard and
shredded paper that are already
recycled, the Indian Lake
offices are now able to recycle
printer and copy paper.
Enthusiastic recyclers have been
provided bins, and volunteers
collect and store recyclables in
large leaf bags. HCSWCD staff
will collect bags and deliver to
the Lake Pleasant Transfer
Station. Magazines, junk mail,
glossy print, cereal & pizza
boxes, milk and egg cartons
CANNOT be recycled. A special
thank you to our awesome
maintenance staff, and to our
volunteers. You are helping to
green Hamilton County, and we
thank you for your efforts!
Does your office wish to
participate? Fill out a
survey and receive a bin for
paper. Help to Green
Hamilton County!
