Volunteer Invasive Plant Management Program
Last summer, volunteers and HCSWCD staff dedicated over 121 hours to managing invasive plant stands.
Georgine Rausch, Barbara Reffitt, and Steve Stefelano and his family de-headed Purple Loosestrife in Lake
Pleasant, Speculator, and Wells.

Are YOU interested in helping to Stop the Invaders?  Contact our office at 518-548-3991 to become a
volunteer for the 2009 management season.  You will receive training on how do manage for Purple
Loosestrife and/or Japanese Knotweed.  Manage plants in your area, or give us a hand throughout Hamilton
County.  Transportation and equipment provided.  Invasive plant management is a great way to gain community service hours!
