Roadbanks and Streambanks
Soil erosion reduces
productivity, damages
structures, and results in
sediment that pollutes our
water
and clogs our rivers and lakes.
Sediment can result in increased
flooding and destruction of
wildlife habitat. The
District provides assistance in
the planning, design, construction and
management of
erosion control practices such
as diversions, critical area
plantings and
streambank and
lakeshore protection. |
