2012 Adirondack Tree & Shrub Sale

Evergreen Trees

Canadian Hemlock
 
Claimed as the most beautiful evergreen. Needles are short, light green and soft. Can be pruned to maintain a height of 12’. Grows in full sun or full shade, prefers moist soil. Mature height: 60-75’.

White Cedar Dense, pyramidal tree with feather-like, yellowish green needles. Grows in medium fertility, acidic, clay, loam, or sand soil. Tolerates fair drought, shade, and somewhat poorly drained soil. Mature height: 50’.

White Pine
 
Fast growing. Soft, light greenish-blue needles. Grows in full sun to partial shade. Tolerates dry to wet soil but prefers moist conditions. Use as windbreaks or Christmas trees, if pruned. Mature height: 100’.

White Spruce
 
Fast growing and hardy. Short, bluish-green needles. Prefers well drained loam, but successful in most other soils. Mature height: 50’.
